OYO TechStyler Features & Benefits
NO Harmful Chemicals, NO Darkroom, NO Processing Equipment, NO Inks or Toners
When purchasing an OYO TechStyler imagesetter you eliminate the need for hazardous developing and fixing chemicals used in traditional film imagesetting systems. You also save space by eliminating the need for a darkroom which also cuts down on energy costs because the imagesetter does not require a processor.
The new OYO TechStyler wide-format thermal imagesetter gives screen and textile printers an exceptionally affordable, new wide-format film output solution enabling the efficient printing of full body graphics right to the edge while producing full-size 600 x 600 dpi film positives and film negatives up to 14” wide. OYO’s Closed Loop Registration (CLR) control ensures tight registration and delivers both accuracy and consistency.
The OYO TechStyler is capable of producing professional, on-demand, film separations right in your own shop without a darkroom, processor or chemicals. OYO’s thermal imagesetter technology offers clear, compact, environmentally friendly solutions to artwork production, enabling you to eliminate outsourcing of large-format films and bring production-control in-house. OYO’s unique, chemistry-free, dry-imaging ThermoImpression® film requires absolutely no fixers, developers, inks or toners while providing UV densities that exceed industry standards.
The OYO TechStyler ThermoImpression System includes a new RTI Harlequin RIP-Kit. This innovative, trouble-free and fully-featured RIP is PostScript® Level 3 and PDF compatible. Each system configuration also includes HDS Lite (Harlequin Dispersed Screening Lite) for moiré free films and screens. The bottom line: wider edge to edge printability, better day to day performance, improved resolution and registration, less waste, lower costs and affordable price.

|
Easy to Configure
If you have a mixed workflow and receive files in more than one format you don’t need to learn different tools for color management, trapping, transparency or screening when using the Harlequin RIP. The software gives you the ability to print across the network to the RIP through shared printers which means faster output times and less hassle trying to resave jobs into different applications.
PostScript® Level 3
Support for PostScript® Level 3 means compatibility with the latest design and printing applications.
PDF v.1.7
Support for PDF v.1.7, PDF/X-4, PDF/X-1a, JPEG2000, optional content, cross-reference streams, compressed object streams and 16-bit images.

Harlequin Precision Screening
Every RTI Harlequin RIP includes Harlequin Precision Screening (HPS). When placing color separations on top of one another, the angles and frequencies at which those separations are produced should be calculated very accurately to eliminate moiré patterns. To reduce moiré patterning, HPS uses an adaptive screening technique that can adjust each halftone dot so that it is placed within one half pixel of its ideal location.
Separations and Screening
The RIP allows you to control and manage resolutions, line screens (frequency), screen angles and dot shapes.

Calibration Manager
Calibrate your imagesetter, platesetter, proofer or printing press using the software's built-in calibration tool.

Color Accuracy & Pantone Plus
The Harlequin RIP will ensure optimum use of the output device's color gamut and adds Pantone Plus support to ensure that emulation of Pantone colors printed using other inks (e.g. CMYK) are as accurate as possible.
